Tagine of chicken with turnip and carrots



Ingredients:

* 1 1/2 lb chicken - leg & thing
* 1 onion
* 3 garlic
* 1 tsp ginger powder
* 1/2 tsp paprika
* 1/2 tsp mix saffron
* 1/2 tsp pepper
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/2 cup water
* 1/2 lemon perserved
* 1 tsp parsley & cilantro
* 1 turnip
* 1 carrot
Place chopped onion & garlic in the bottom
* pour the sauce over the chicke
put vegetables & preserved lemon skin over the chicken
sprinkle with chopped parsley & cilantro


Instructions:
- wash chicken well with cold water
- in bowl, mix saffron, ginger powder, paprika, pepper,  inside the lemon ( no skin ),olive oil & water
- then pour the sauce all over the tagine chicken
- place chopped vegetables and lemon over the chicken
* sprinkle tagine with chopped cilantro & parsley
- cook over the low heat with tagine closed for about 45 minutes - 1 hour
- add water if necessary if you like a lot sauce
